Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR) Healthy Communities is partnering with the University of Pikeville-Kentucky (UPIKE) College of Osteopathic Medicine (KYCOM) and Operation UNITE to host the second substance use disorder education event in October 2018. The event will take place at the Health Professionals Education Building (Kentucky College of Optometry) at UPIKE. SOAR and UPIKE invite health professionals, students and stakeholders who share the vision of reducing the scope and impact of substance use disorder and related consequences through education, awareness, prevention, and access to services.

CME/CE Credit Hours
This event will be offering 4 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Education (CE) credits.
Credit offered for:
- Licensed Professional Counselor, Nurse Practitioner, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician, Physician Assistant, Social Worker
Participants are able to attend the onsite event at the University of Pikeville or they are able to attend virtually. The event will be livestreamed and participants will have the opportunity to view the event at any location.
